The last 12 months at Milestone have gone by in a flash with so many developments and successes! We know we’re only as good as our team and for me, it’s been particularly exciting to watch managers in the business grow and develop into more senior roles and take on responsibilities alongside their day job. We’ve seen team-members smash exam results, take on new roles and new people join.
We have also welcomed a new Operations Manager into the business and I have really enjoyed seeing her thrive quickly and become a strong lead in individual and business performance.
Apart from an exciting year for the business, I’ve managed to achieve a huge personal ambition of my own, running the London Marathon. I’ve always wanted to accomplish this before my 40th birthday, but COVID delayed that, so I was over the moon to finally get to the start line in October 2021. And what an experience it was! The atmosphere was incredible, and I was blown away by how much money I was able to raise for my chosen charity, just under £4,500! At Milestone we’ve supported Saltergate Children’s Home for some time and when the founder secured a place for a marathon runner, it was too good an opportunity to miss. Big thanks to everyone who sponsored and supported me!
