With 30 years served in the financial services industry, I have worked throughout the UK and locally for a number of leading firms. I specialise in Inheritance Tax Planning, Pensions and Investment advice. I’m one of the founding members of Milestone and have enjoyed watching the firm and our team go from strength to strength since we launched in 2017.

In the office

I look after a portfolio of private clients and companies who require independent financial planning advice. I also work with a number of local accountancy and legal firms, providing them with support for their clients.

Within the office I help with the support and development of staff and advisers, this includes sourcing and delivering training and continuing professional development for the team.

As a business we drive a culture of self-development and learning. As such, I like to bring new ideas and solutions to the table as our industry is constantly evolving and changing. I am currently working towards Chartered Status through the Chartered insurance Institute which I hope to attain in the near future.

Why I love my job

I love working in a team which is passionate about providing first class service to it’s clients, and being lucky enough to have great clients whom I have helped to prosper over the years. Having been in the industry for three decades, I have seen a lot of changes. However, a lot of my clients have followed me and asked me to look after them and their families. I take a great deal of pride and satisfaction from looking after my clients.

What I do outside work

Having three children and two dogs means a lot of time is spent on family activities and socialising with friends. I was the founding chairman of the Chesterfield Satellite Rotary Club which is a position I held for 3 years. I continue to be an active member of Rotary supporting lots of fund raising events and helping local and international charities. At weekends I coach my sons Rugby Union team and I am also a fanatical fan of the sport, taking any available opportunity to watch a game.
