Why Use an Investment calculator?

This is a fairly basic calculator that you a use to estimate the returns of your cash savings account, mutual funds, fixed rate products and pensions over a defined period of time. Simply input the start investing amount, along with any regular contributions, additional contributions, a lump sum and then the likely investment return. This quick investment calculator will then give you the estimated investment values at the end of the investment journey.

This investment calculator should help you make a quick assessment to see if your savings accounts or investment portfolio, along with regular contributions and compound interest, will help you reach your financial goals.

How do I select an assumed rate of return?

For pensions, mutual funds, and other investment accounts the rate of return will depend upon a number of factors including; the risk tolerance of the fund, asset allocation within the fund and market performance. If you are not sure what assumed rate of growth to use then contact a financial adviser who should be able to give you some guidance. Please note that past performance of an investment fund is no guarantee of future performance.

If you would like to start investing or would like a financial adviser to speak with you about your investment journey and whether you should be making additional contributions to meet your investment plan, then don’t hesitate to get in touch.

With any investment fund, you may get back less than you invest and there are no guaranteed returns.

Is this Investment calculator reliable?

The investment calculator is as reliable as the information inputted. Clearly, the interest rates of the products you are investigating or the wider performance of the stock market needs to be assessed before an assumed rate of growth can be used. In this case, we would recommend that you speak to a financial adviser.
