Mark Fretwell-Evans
I joined Milestone in March 2022 as a Trainee Paraplanner, having worked in the finance sector since 2013 and worked with IFA’s for the 6 and a half years prior to joining.
In the office
My role includes supporting the advisers by carrying out analysis, identifying solutions suitable for a client’s needs and preparing the recommendations.
This also includes managing clients assets on platform and preparing bespoke documentation for annual reviews.
I will be looking to develop myself and my skills to help support the advisers by starting to gain qualifications starting with a Level 4 Diploma in R01 Financial Services, Regulations and Ethics. There is a wealth of knowledge to access within the company and I am hoping to use this to become qualified within this area.
Why I love my job
I love my job because in the office there is a great atmosphere, where everyone I work with is of like-mindedness and everyone strives to provide an excellent service and succeed in an ever-changing environment.
Everyone here is extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable which is a real advantage in order for me to progress and guide me along this career path.
What I do outside work
I’m a banjo player for the indie folk band, The Natterjacks. We’ve played at many festivals and bars around mainly Derbyshire and Yorkshire and even got a couple of plays on Radio 2.
I also spend my weekends out walking my dog around the peak district and spending time with friends and family.
