← NEWS - A warm welcome to our newest team member, Samantha Halifax

SamAs a growing business, we’re always on the lookout for the brightest financial minds, which is why we’re so excited to welcome Samantha Halifax, our newest Financial Advisor. Samantha joins us from Swedish banking giant, Handelsbanken, where she’s spent the last few years as a Private Banking Manager.

No stranger to the Milestone team, Sam previously worked with Michael, Pete, and Mark and has been on our wish list for a while. Her energy and enthusiasm, combined with her enormous experience in the sector, mean we can already see the impact she’s having on what we do and how we work with and for our clients. Some of you may have already met Sam and she’ll be getting to know more of you in the coming months. But for now, we wanted to quiz Sam so we can all learn a bit more about what makes her tick!

What’s your career looked like so far?

I’ve been working in financial services for over 8 years, in a variety of roles, including as a mortgage advisor and private banker. It’s great to be reunited with Michael, Peter, Mark and Jo again and to meet the rest of the team.

What’s your first month at Milestone been like?

Varied! Every day has been different, which is great. Everyone has been very welcoming, it’s a really nice group of people to work with and I’ve loved getting to meet some of our clients in the last few weeks.

Are there any professional skills you’re working on?

Well, there are always new things to learn, but right now I’m studying hard for some exams to expand my knowledge of financial advice.

What motivates you?

I just love helping people – so I find using my knowledge and experience to enable people to make informed decisions about their finances really rewarding.

What are you looking forward to in the coming months?

I’m going to Italy soon, and I’m really looking forward to pasta and wine. Perfection!

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love going for walks with my sister, nephew and her dog as well as going for meals with my family and friends. See above, anything involving good food is right up my street!

What’s your most prized possession?

My house plants. I have over 60 now and the collection just keeps growing!

What’s your favourite book?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

What three words would your friends use to describe you?

They’d say I was loyal, chatty and funny. At least that’s what I hope!

What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?

I can make dolphin noises!
